Hi,
o URI uri-parameter components are compared as follows:
- Any uri-parameter appearing in both URIs must match.
- A user, ttl, or method uri-parameter appearing in only one
URI never matches, even if it contains the default value.
- A URI that includes an maddr parameter will not match a URI
that contains no maddr parameter.
- All other uri-parameters appearing in only one URI are
ignored when comparing the URIs.
Above is the extract from rfc 3261 section 19.1.4. It gives u the way
comparison is done for uri parameters .
Now my question, is this comparison holds good for comparing contact
parameters as well.
Because while testing with a registrar server, 200 response for registration
also contains a "q-parameter" for the contact & I was not sure whether I
need to include this for comparison of contacts. If I follow the above steps
to compare my contact-parameters, then in that case according to point 4 we
need to ignore comparing the q-value.
Or is there other rules specified to compare the contact parameters.
