Hi, Does registration request remote ip:port must equal with contact value for UDP ? If not then most NAT types won't work, because contact address haven't sent data out and server cant send data to contact.
(I have 1 case when it differs, phone and SIP server at same LAN. Phone registers with public IP, but linksys router nat loopback sends request to SIP server as router LAN IP. Result is Contact has public IP, request sent FROM router LAN IP and router accepts data back only router LAN IP (the one SIP server saw) ) And also that means its obsolete to have more than 1 contact header in register request (at least for UDP). Any comments welcome ? _______________________________________________ Sip-implementors mailing list [email protected] https://lists.cs.columbia.edu/cucslists/listinfo/sip-implementors
