Also, look at RFC 4187, which describes the AKA exchange in detail while
the TS34.229 gives the exact algorithm to compute the keys as Prakash told.

Subject: Re: [Sip-implementors] A question about AKAv1-MD5 authentication

Hi Navneet,

Please check specs - TS34.229, Section 8 and 9, for authentication
scenarios
and TS 33.203 for the calculation of Auth. Vectors.

RFC 3310 mentions only about how the SIP headers should look like for
the above auth mechanism and provides the basic scenarios and not about
how to calculate the auth vectors and so on.

Thanks,
Prakash

Subject: [Sip-implementors] A question about AKAv1-MD5 authentication

Hi

I'm trying to implement support for AKAv1-MD5 authentication in a SIP
UA.
I can't find any valid examples of authentication scenarios using
AKAv1-MD5. I read a post on the group which said that the examples given

in RFC 3310 - "HTTP digest authentication using AKA" contain invalid
nonce
values. Please help!

Regards
Navneet
