Hi. If those REGISTER-1 and -2 are in the same "registration-session", UAC has same Nonce value. Therefore, It will be current response value in REGISTER- 2 message, even if more than 500ms delay.
It does not need to start with REGISTER-1 Regards, Dong-uk, Kim -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:sip- [email protected]] On Behalf Of cool goose Sent: Tuesday, March 10, 2009 9:53 AM To: [email protected] Subject: [Sip-implementors] Response code for a REGISTER request with "Authorization" header Hi All, If UAC sends a REGISTER request with "Authorization" header with digest response, should the registrar acknowledge it with 200 OK or 401 Unauthorized? Also, Consider the below scenario: UAC sends REGISTER-1 to UAS UAC<---------401 Una authorized---UAS UAC----REGISTER-2----------> UAS REGISTER-2 has "Authorization" header with digest response. Now, Lets assume that the UDP packet carry REGISTER-2 gets delayed say more than 500ms before reaching the UAS. In such situation, can the UAC resend the same REGISTER-2 request again? or does it need to start with REGISTER-1 and get challenged and then send REGISTER-2? Thank You, CoolGoose. _______________________________________________ Sip-implementors mailing list [email protected] https://lists.cs.columbia.edu/cucslists/listinfo/sip-implementors _______________________________________________ Sip-implementors mailing list [email protected] https://lists.cs.columbia.edu/cucslists/listinfo/sip-implementors
