Yes, port makes no sense in From/To URI (neither in P-Asserted-Identity and 
so).

And yes, even if the BNF grammar allows something doesn't mean that it's valid 
for all the contexts.
For example, "Contact" header grammar allows a value of "*":
  Contact: *
This is used in REGISTER with "Expires: 0" to de-register all the contacts for 
the AoR in To header.
But of course, "Contact: *" is not allowed in an INVITE or response.
