Hi Vivek Outbound proxy configuration is mainly aimed at locally initiated "initial/out-of-dialog" requests (such as initial INVITE, out-of-dialog OPTIONS etc).
For incoming calls, responses and subsequent new requests need to follow the routing principles laid in RFC 3261 (using Via, Record-Route, Contact etc). When this address is set in the User Agent, all the SIP messages are sent to Outbound Address only at the time of making an Outgoing Call. I think that is perfectly OK. But when UA receives Incoming Call, should UA honor SIP Contact or Record-Route (or any other header if applicable) to send further SIP messages to remote peer? OR SIP messages should be send to Outbound Proxy only which is set in UA configuration? Precisely my question is, Outbound Address should only be used while making an OG call or should be used during both Outgoing and Incoming Call? Thanks and Kind Regards, Vivek Batra _______________________________________________ Sip-implementors mailing list [email protected] https://lists.cs.columbia.edu/cucslists/listinfo/sip-implementors ________________________________ "DISCLAIMER: This message is proprietary to Aricent and is intended solely for the use of the individual to whom it is addressed.
