In a scenario where the request traverses a strict proxy, the URIs are only shuffled around. In my case, the last proxy in chain is a loose router, and it's the actual URI that is modified. Anyway, by my understanding of RFC3261, the Request-URI doesn't play any role in mid-dialog requests when the request has arrived at the UAS. I was just wondering whether such situation is permitted by the standard.
