Thanks for the suggestions. Will be considered. I really have very
little knowledge in gui design, so learning one framework or another
makes no big diference ;-)

I really thought of QT because I think QT designer + KDevelop will be
of great help for an inexperienced programmer like myself.

By eclipse you mean developing in java right? I'll try to make some
sketches of the gui and maybe put them in a blog so you can help me
out a little bit!
