My understanding from this page: http://win6.jp/Cygwin/index.html is that
running the IPv6 extensions on win2000 could create problems. WHat you see
might be one of them, but I really don't know, thus the warning in the doc.
Good to know that 1.1rc7 worked on win2k, but this is a surprise to me.
Anyway, if getaddrinfo is the issue, could you come with an alternative?

I've been using SIPp 1.0 and 1.1rc7 on Win2000 - is the above statement

I'm trying to use the pcap play feature of SIPp on Windows.
I've installed SIPp 1.1rc8 under Windows 2000 by compiling the source
under cygwin. I couldn't use the .exe installer because it wants a
newer version of Windows. I followed the instructions for compiling
under cygwin at

the installation of the IPv6 extension. I compiled SIPp using:
make pcapplay_cygwin
So far so good. When I run SIPp, I get the following error:

I guess cygwin can't locate the library containing the getaddrinfo
function.
