Hello Merlin,

Firstly if the user is already Not Registered, you should change your
"Expires:" header.
Otherwise if what you pasted is exactly what you used in the xml, you
need to leave a line between [CDATA[ and REGISTER

Try it the way I have pasted... Don't use tab for spacing anywhere. Use
only spacebar.
Let me know if this solved the problem.

<![CDATA[

Subject: [Sipp-users] help on creating own scenarion

Hi,
I am new to sipp. I tried to create a scenario file to send a dummy
REGISTER message to my server and hoped to receive back a 401.
But My message never reaches my server...
I created a scenario file like this :

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="ISO-8859-1" ?>
 <scenario name="Basic Sipstone UAC">
       <send retrans="50">
 <![CDATA[REGISTER sip:csc.lnt.com SIP/2.0
        Via: SIP/2.0/TCP
17.144.37.161:8888;branch=z9hG4bKhoeeaat;rport;alias
        From: <sip:[EMAIL PROTECTED]>;tag=8546-12af2460-ae34bc55-8a22
        To: <sip:[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
        Call-ID: [call_id]
        CSeq: 1 REGISTER
        Contact: sip:[EMAIL PROTECTED]:8888
        Max-Forwards: 70
        User-Agent: Sipp Script
        Expires: 0
        Supported: sec-agree
        Content-Length: 0]]>
    </send>
    <recv response="401"
          optional="false">
    </recv>
 </scenario>

and I am running sipp as :
./sipp -sf myscenario.xml 17.144.37.161

What am I doing wrong ?

Thanks in adv!
