Hi,
Is SIPp at least retransmitting the REGISTER msg? Is it getting
Timed-out? If your message is directly supposed to reach the Server,
then you might have to add "Route" header with the server's address.
And if you haven't included "-trace_msg" option, do that. And see what
you get.
Regards,
Varun.

Hi,
I tried that, but it didn't work. Is there any other place where I have
to mention the remote IP apart from the command line and the headers in
the message ?

Hello Merlin,
Firstly if the user is already Not Registered, you should change
your "Expires:" header.
Otherwise if what you pasted is exactly what you used in the
xml, you need to leave a line between [CDATA[ and REGISTER
Try it the way I have pasted... Don't use tab for spacing
anywhere. Use only spacebar.
Let me know if this solved the problem.

Subject: [Sipp-users] help on creating own scenarion
Hi,
I am new to sipp. I tried to create a scenario file to send a
dummy REGISTER message to my server and hoped to receive back a 401.
But My message never reaches my server...
I created a scenario file like this :
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="ISO-8859-1" ?>
<scenario name="Basic Sipstone UAC">
<send retrans="50">
<![CDATA[REGISTER sip:csc.lnt.com SIP/2.0

From:
<sip:[EMAIL PROTECTED]>;tag=8546-12af2460-ae34bc55-8a22
To: <sip:[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
Call-ID: [call_id]

User-Agent: Sipp Script
Expires: 0
Supported: sec-agree
Content-Length: 0]]>
</send>
<recv response="401"
optional="false">
</recv>
</scenario>
and I am running sipp as :
./sipp -sf myscenario.xml 17.144.37.161
What am I doing wrong ?
Thanks in adv!
