Ronnie,
this script is one part of a larger scripts that should test a SIP
application (see if its a live ) and send an email when it stops
responding, the scrip should run as a cron job which means as a
background script.

script and then run the script in the background. Why do you want to
run it in the background when it seems that you are executing a
non-iterate/one time (-m 1) request? If you have to have SIPp to run
in the background, add "-bg" as a SIPp command line option. You can
