Well I give you the scenario: The Sip Container sends the request to port 5040 which is the port of the sipp szenario. It expects the response to port 5060 which is its SIP port. When sending I guess they use some random port.
With SIP 2.0 and lower version this works. Now it seems, that SIPP answers back to the random port. This is definitely a good feature when it comes to NAT but our SIP Container vendor argues that The SIP standard says it should go to 5060 and they only implemented this behaviour. Does that make sense what I am writing here? I am not a sip professional. This is what I understood the problem is. Are you saying that your application is expecting responses on port 5060 to messages that were not sent from that port?
