I have been testing sipp 3.4 (3.399?) and using the normal distribution pause function. While doing this I have seen that after some time calls begin to get stuck in the pause and never exit that state. I let it run for a week, and eventually saw that all my calls (to the max that was set) were in the pause state. When I checked my freeswitch they had been there for multiple days.
Here is the pause statement I was using: <pause distribution="normal" mean="90000" stdev="30000"/> I really want to use this distribution to more correctly emulate real users, but I may be limited to using a variable and making that pull from a file of random duration. Not nearly as clean as using this function. Can anyone help me out? Is there something else I can do to try and capture what might be going wrong? ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Rapidly troubleshoot problems before they affect your business.
