The ACD today uses the "phone no." as you put it (actually the user part of a SIP address) as the agent ID. As most phones today are multi-line, we suggest creating a user (agent ID, if you will) for each agent, and assigning that user to whatever line they use. When they sign in and out, they use those lines.
