Is it possible to send UPDATE *without* SDP, so that we don't start a media renegotiation? But the definition of UPDATE still requires checking that the dialog exists. (Strictly, the INVITE dialog usage, which is what we really care about.) In regard to sipXbridge, since it maintains its own keepalives on the "outside", I don't see any need to pass through keepalive requests received from the "inside" -- if the outside dialog fails, sipXbridge will know within a limited amount of time, and then the next inside keeplive will fail.
