I do not think it makes sense unless/until we add support for user based
setting of timezone.

Please think about it like this:
sipXconfig displays the time to let you know what sipXecs thinks about the
time and timezone (to display your local time you can just use one of the
1000 specialized apps that displays it including our own thinksincode's
igoogle gadget...)
When admin configures forwarding or schedules, it's done based on sipXecs
time (not your local time). At least now we give you an idea what it is.

So if there is a new feature request to be made is, it is to support
setting timezone on a per user and per user-group basis...
