This is a function found on other voice mail systems that integrate with
Exchange server. We have seen this feature as a requirement in multiple
RFPs for UC systems to which we have responded. I concur that is should be
considered as the media server migrates to FS.

At some point it would be nice to have a discussion on how the user
voicemail box (inbox/saved/deleted folders) could be pop3 or IMAP accessible
on sipx itself. This goes a long way to unification and would certainly
change the way any desktop integartion works.

I.E. Delete from phone and disppears in inbox, or vice versa. At the same
time it turns off MWI and prevents multiple deletion at multiple sources for
the same message. This way the user simply sets up a second account for
voicemail. Be a great tool for remote people (blackberry/iPhone users
especially).

I've been wondering how to get sendmail or postfix to read the sipx inbox,
which is different due to its xml structure. Does it seem like this should
be something that might be discussed pre 4.2 as the media server begins to
transition to FS?

My .02.

Tony
