Since when could we even register to domain aliases?

So, remote workers may register to "external ip address" or to "external name". Both "external ip address" and "external name" are configured as 'domain alias'. But MWI subscription does not work for 'domain aliases' (XECS-1179). Please advise if there is a workaround for this? May be it's time to fix xecs-1179? (since it seriously restricts the "remote worker" functionality) Thanks in advance, Nikolay.
