As Michael Picher says, the most effective solution is to have the DNS
translations visible inside your network be different from those that
are visible outside your network.  This is called "split DNS".  The
phones and other devices inside your network see DNS records that
translate the SIP domain to the IP address of your sipX system, and
devices outside your network see DNS records that translate the SIP
domain to the IP address to which incoming calls should be directed.
