As Michael Picher says, the most effective solution is to have the DNS translations visible inside your network be different from those that are visible outside your network. This is called "split DNS". The phones and other devices inside your network see DNS records that translate the SIP domain to the IP address of your sipX system, and devices outside your network see DNS records that translate the SIP domain to the IP address to which incoming calls should be directed.
There is a lot of information about split DNS on-line. Dale _______________________________________________ sipx-dev mailing list [email protected] List Archive: http://list.sipfoundry.org/archive/sipx-dev Unsubscribe: http://list.sipfoundry.org/mailman/listinfo/sipx-dev
