Hi all, With the first iteration of XECS-1606 we were challenging Resource List SUBSCRIBEs twice. First a 407 challenge from sipXproxy, then a 401 challenge from sipXrls. Both Polycoms and CounterPath clients failed to handle this, others probably also.
A second iteration provided a work-around that at the time I recall we considered to be temporary. i.e. We'd eventually want all clients to handle the double challenge correctly. But I now see that Bob Joly commented "Redundant SUBSCRIBE authentications will be avoided with delivery of XECS-1919", which is now fixed. Unless there are objections I'll let CounterPath know we have no plans to resume double challenging SUBSCRIBEs. (Polycom has already delivered a fix.) Thanks. -Paul [email protected]
