Makes sense to me. NAT is off unless you specifically go to turn it on. NAT
traversal would not be necessary in every installation (PRI or analog gateways,
or existing SBC's). We use a 4.0 system here with siptrunking and remote users
handled elsewhere, so NAT traversal is not necessary. A lot of 3.10 upgraders
won't have a SBC or siptrunking in place yet, and it makes sense that when they
go to enable those service in sipxecs that they enable NAt at that time.

Why is NAT traversal disabled by default?

Any takers?
