The Nortel IP 12x0 firmware has been enhanced, and now allows firmware
upgrades via HTTP. The updated instructions are:
 - Navigate to the "Advanced' screen in the Web GUI.
 - Change the "Provisioning URL" to
"http://<server>/phone/profile/tftproot", where "<server>" is the IP or
FQDN of the sipXcofig machine.
 - Leave "HTTP Proxy" main value and "Port" blank.
 - Ensure the "Auto-config Profile" is set to "Profile-C", same as for
TFTP.
 - Ensure the "Auto-config Path" is set to the default "Nortel/config",
same as for TFTP.
 - Ensure "Auto-config Every Boot" is enabled, which is also the
default.
 - Click "Commit Changes".
 - Send the profile from sipXconfig.

Also, you can optionally add :<port> to cause the phone to send HTTP
requests non-default (i.e. not "80") port. This would be useful when
the enterprise's public domain is already using port 80 for its web
content. The admin will simply setup a firewall rule mapping some
unused public port to the sipXecs internal port 80.

To get above functionality you need firmware version
SIP12x0.01.01.00.00, which was released today. (Note:
SIP12x0.01.01.00.00 vs. SIP12x0.01.00.01.00).

Thanks.
