With 3.10.3 the root email account was configured using the startup script. In 4.0.1 this no longer happens. What you end up with on a freshly installed (not upgraded) 4.0.1 system is no root email configured.
What this means is that cron or disk space check emails are never sent anywhere. Wondering if this shouldn't be something that is configurable in the Alarms panel? Root email address?
