Are the phone books on a per user basis? Ie. can I create my own phone
book based on a CSV file or vCard import?
Which XML file (pathname) is the info stored in so that the IVR
process can access the information?

*Subject:* [sipX-dev] new CSV/vCard file format
Hi All,
I have a question regarding issue XX-5941 - Store uploaded phonebooks
in the DB.
Currently, the CSV file format is First_name, Last_name, Number(on
each line, except the first).
If we want to extend the user information(based on XX-5547), the CSV
file format will become much complicated, as bellow:
First_name, Last_name, Number, cell_number, cell_home_number,
assistant_name_and_number, fax_number, location, company_name,
address, job, departament, office_designation, IM, alternative_IM.
Is this how the new format file will look like or I should think about
someting else?
Please help me with an ack/suggestion.
The same problem is with the vCard format file.
Thanks,
Cosmin.
A phonebook belongs to a group, not to a user. The CSV/vCard can be
manually edited, if the file format is kept. Also, you can save your
phonebook to a vCard file using the Download link from the the user
portal Phonebook page.
The CSV/vCard files are currently uploaded on server and then read when
the phonebook is displayed. In this new feature, we want to save the
entries directly in the database (and so the files won't be stored any
more on the server).
So my question is about how the new file format should look like.
Regards,
Cosmin.
