sipXconfig plugin for counterpath client can and should configure phonebook
- just as plugins for other phones do that.

I am not sure how we could get the user changes back from the client. It
depends on what protocol / API client offers. But if there is anything it's
not impossible to write a server component that would update sipXconfig
user phonebook in response to changes in the client.
