Hmmm.  One thing you could do is simply re-run the Step 4.
ede_build_devuser.sh script, which will trash everything except $CODE
and re-build from scratch.  (This will erase all your configuration data
and SSL certificates, so do a backup first.)

Possibly you want to re-build from scratch anyway when you make a change
that affects autoreconf or configure?

If not, then we could certainly do something, an alias or maybe a
generated bash script.
