OK, I see.

For Polycoms I plan to suppress the [MAC]-directory.xml (phonebook) file
from the Profile Preview if phonebook management is disabled.  In other
words, sipXconfig will only offer a link to this device file when in
control of it.  From reading XX-1782 it sounds like this will be
acceptable.  

BTW this is for http://track.sipfoundry.org/browse/XX-5443.  When
solved, the Polycom profile preview and deletion will both have their
file lists built from a common method.
