That's greate news. Plus For a quick answer J, do we still need the IP address or we can use localhost in the URL since they are running on the same machine?

I haven't figured out a way to get those info in a openfire plug in context. I am wondering 1) Either anybody could give me a pointer how those info is acceptable or 2) It is reasonable that if the request is from local machine (sipX) the authentication could be skipped just like what callcontroller does right now or The rest API could listen on local loopback port 127.0.0.1 (localhost), if the request comes from this interface, the authentication is not required. ( personally I prefer the loopback one) Any help is appreciated. Regards Jason
