Hi Jason,

I requested that the sipXconfig URI be put in the sipxprovision-config
file, e.g.:
    provision.configUrl=https://bcmsl2030.ca.nortel.com:8443

Doing so technically would allow sipXprovision to run on a different
machine from sipXprovision. Though in practice it won't happen in 4.2,
due to other reasons.

That's greate news. Plus For a quick answer J, do we still need
the IP address or we can use localhost in the URL since they are running
on the same machine?

        Hi Jason,

With XX-6646 now implemented by Huijun, you can use the
SHARED_SECRET value in domain-config as the user password for the REST
API.

sipXprovision uses this for superadmin REST API access, and it
works well.

Subject: [sipX-dev] Need user credentials to query
contact info in openfireplug in

                Hi,

Seems User credentials are required to use REST
/my/contact-information to query or set contact info regardless where
the user request is initiated. I haven't figured out a way to get those
info in a openfire plug in context. I am wondering

                1) Either anybody could give me a pointer how
those info is acceptable or

                2) It is reasonable that if the request is from
local machine (sipX) the authentication could be skipped just like what
callcontroller does right now or The rest API could listen on local
loopback port 127.0.0.1 (localhost), if the request comes from this
interface, the authentication is not required. ( personally I prefer
the loopback one)

                Any help is appreciated.

                Regards

                Jason
