For feature http://track.sipfoundry.org/browse/XX-7168 I would like to
add User Group auto-population of the Unified Messaging External MWI and
the Call Forward forked call dialed number strings.
External users have a mailbox on sipXecs but the user is accessed via a
SIP trunk gateway (in my case the Audiocodes Mediant1000). For example,
to call external user 3948811 the dialing plan could be configured so
that we dial 81 plus the user. When the new user 3948811 is added in
sipXconfig (with the appropriate User Group) we would like it to
auto-populate the fields:
User 3948811
Unified Messaging
External MWI 813948811 (sends lamp on/off messages to this
number)
Call Forwarding
Extension 3948811 will ring first for 20 seconds (but no
local user registered)
Always Enabled At-the-same-time forward to 813948811 (sends calls
the external user)
So the question is what should the User Group configuration look like to
achieve this?
I would propose the following User Group setting:
User Group
...
Conference (existing setting)
External User
Automatic External User Assignment
Assign external user settings to new users <Y/N checkbox>
External User extension prefix <81>
Speed Dials (existing setting)
...
Alternatively the User Group settings for Unified Messaging and Call
Forwarding could both be changed to add the new field, but it seems
simpler to create a single setting?
