Hi Shruthi,

Yes, you can raise an XTRN improvement issue against Component "Nortel"
for this.

( The piece of code selecting "Guam" is the
getTimezoneFromRawOffsetSeconds() method from
http://sipxecs.sipfoundry.org/rep/sipXecs/main/sipXconfig/plugins/nortel
12x0/src/org/sipfoundry/sipxconfig/phone/nortel12x0/Nortel12x0Phone.java
It could probably deliver the improvement if it used the
java.util.TimeZone ID, instead of raw offset seconds, to perform the
mapping.)

Subject: [sipX-dev] Time zone settings in Nortel phones

        Hi All,

I have set up a SCS server with timezone set to Australia /
Canberra. So, when I log-in to the config UI >> Devices >> Device Time
Zone, the GMT offset is set to 600 (GMT+10:00).
GMT+10:00 is also true for Brisbane, Gaum, Hobart, Vladivostok
other than Canberra.
In Polycom phones, it just displays the gmtOffset as 36000,
under SNTP tab.

When I add a Nortel IP 12xx Phone to config UI, under Time
Settings of the added Nortel 12 xx phone, the Time Zone shows as +10:00
Guam . Would any one please let me know the criteria for selecting Time
Zone as +10:00 Guam .

It would be nice , if it can display the Time Zone as +10
Canberra, instead of +10:00 Guam. Can I raise an Improvement issue on
this.
