Hi All,
Here is my scenario:

Case(i)
I have a phonebook :
Name : test
Member user group : Mem
Consumer user group : Con

Add users 250 and 251 to 'Con' usergroup
Then upload a phone book using csv file format.

Now login as end user UI of user 250, phonebook page displays all the
imported contacts.
But <mac id>-directory.xml file under
/var/sipxdata/configserver/phone/profile/tftproot will not update until
the admin user sends the profiles to that particular user.

So if the admin wants to delete the phonebook(from tui), then he will
have to send the profiles to all the members under consumer group.
Otherwise directory.xml file will not update.
By rebooting the phone manually doesn't update the contact directory.
If there are many users in consumer group user group, it is very
difficult for the admin user to go and send the profiles to each member
of consumer group user.
Instead of that whenever the the phonebook is deleted or new phonebook
is uploaded, it should automatically reboot the corresponding consumer
group users and update the contact directory accordingly.
Please advise if this can be an improvement.

Case(ii) is a little variant of above,
 >From the user level we have a option Import gmail contacts button,
from that user can import gmail contacts to his particular phone.
Config ui phonebook displays all the contacts.
But corresponding <mac-id>-directory.xml file under tftp root doesn't
update.
For that also admin has to send the profile.
It would be better if the user can send the profile for his phone or the
phone updates the profile automatically as per case(i)

In total, would it be possible to update the phone automatically as and
when "he is added to a user group which is a consumer group" or "his
phonebook is deleted..".

Please advise ,

Thanks,
Archana
