Hi All, This query is regarding to discover the "device model" also while performing 'discover devices'. Right now on clicking 'Discover' button in 'Discover Devices' page, all the Phones/Gateway connected to the same subnet as that of test Server are discovered based on 'Device MAC Address' , 'IP Address' and 'Vendor'. But it restricts to discover based on Device Model. I feel it would be convenient for a User if the device model is also discovered. Suppose if we need to register an device then we have to first select the 'model' of that device, check the checkbox and then click on save button. This will move the selected device to Phones/Gateway page from 'Discover Devices' page. While selecting the model for the device, it allows to select 'any model' which is not relevant to that particular device. The Phones page shows the improper model for the respective device and might rule to confusion for an User. As like Polycom and Nortel 12xx phones gets auto provisioned with proper 'MAC Address' and 'Model', is it not possible to discover the device model also while performing discover devices.  Please let me know whether this is an limitation or improvement jira issue can be raised for the same. Thanks, Shobha |
