There has been some discussions at planning meeting about
http://track.sipfoundry.org/browse/XX-7800 and I'd like to be
sure we all are on the same page with this. It was stated
that this feature would not be used very often and it belongs
to the advanced section of user creation/edit page.
We could treat it as we treat PIN: new user - always visible,
edit user - hide it under advanced section. Or we could hide
it on both pages under advanced section. The third option
would be: do not show on user creation (not even under
advanced section), hide it under advanced section on user edit.

Any thoughts?

I like the "new user - always visible, edit user - hide it" option
(though I see the PIN under the basic settings - did you mean SIP
Password?). We have no user experience with this feature yet - we don't
know how popular it will be. It seems like a reasonable compromise to
allow a user to be set to shared when it is created, but otherwise hide
this setting. (Note: I think it could be moved down near the Groups
section).

Yes, I meant SIP password not PIN, sorry!
