I recall that some time ago having the field as read-only was definitely the intention and was got discussed on this mailing list (http://article.gmane.org/gmane.comp.voip.sipx.devel/19035/). I'm not sure when or why this has changed to become an editable field. The rationale at the time was that changing your IM ID effectively causes old IM ID account to be deleted from openfire and the new one created. Account creation/modification has been, up to now, a privilege reserved to the administrator. Are we ok with letting users change settings that will effectively affect the creation accounts on the system? _______________________________________________ sipx-dev mailing list [email protected] List Archive: http://list.sipfoundry.org/archive/sipx-dev Unsubscribe: http://list.sipfoundry.org/mailman/listinfo/sipx-dev sipXecs IP PBX -- http://www.sipfoundry.org/
