But, this is an example of whether or not sipx might be told to look for
that globally and strip it.

Some (older junk) ATA's can't handle the + on inbound caller id,, so they
ignore the number and report only the name. With some SBC's we can strip
that character, with some we can't. Ideally it would be nice to have some
inbound rule control too.
