Subject: [sipX-dev] Query regarding Click To Call in the end user phonebook.

Hi All,

1.Create 2 users in the test server sun.qantom.int
a.900 with first name and last name as Polycom and User respectively
b.127 with first and last name as SMC User and register them with Polycom
550(User 900) and Avaya 3456 (User 127) phones respectively.
2.Enable default phonebook "Everyone"
3.Login to the end user portal of user 900 and navigate to Phonebook tab. User
127 should be present as contact in the phonebook.
4.Click on the contact SMC User (127), general contacts details should be
displayed with a CALL button below avatar.
5.Click on the CALL button , Click To Call panel opens with a phone number set
to 127.
6.Click on the Call button present in the click to call panel,
Polycom user 900 starts ringing but TUI of Polycom phone displays
>From :
127
although the call is made to 127 using click to call.
After looking into logs,
in Frame 5 of ClickToCall_1.xml, INVITE is sent to Polycom user 900 from
sipXconfig but From header states
From: <sip:[email protected]><mailto:sip:[email protected]>;tag=508352375

7.After answering the call on Polycom user 900 , Avaya 3456 softphone with UID
127 starts ringing. Now, Polyom phones displays
To : [email protected]<mailto:[email protected]>
127
and Avaya 3456 UI displays
Incoming call
Polycom User
8.After answering the call on 127, call is established successfully between 900
(Polycom) and 127 (SMC).

My query is : Should the From header state From:
<sip:[email protected]><mailto:sip:[email protected]>;tag=508352375 and
Polycom TUI display >From : 127 which I feel is pretty confusing for the users
and incorrect as the call is made to 127?

This is observed with all 3 phones Polycom, Avaya 12xx and Avaya 3456.

Please let me know whether this is a design intent?

Thanks in Advance,
