Are you trying to determine the 'max' for your specific hardware? I'd also be interested in determining a rough cap.
It would be nice if there was a piece of code that would tax the hardware to produce 'top end' results (i.e. each conference call takes xx cycles and xx RAM - you have this much - here is the total) - I'm sure it is nowhere near that simple... I am curious about the test scenarios that help us to reach such conclusions. What is the difference between "300 participants" and "301 participants". How is the measurement done? What should be our criteria during quality analysis. For example , should we pass 299 RTP streams to the conference from 299 different users using SIPP tool? And then should we listen from one user by calling the conference room while measuring CPU and memory usage? Any ideas?
