Great points and yes, we should definitely straighten this all out. I am often plagued with how many inflexible the DNS configuration is in sipxecs and how many different parts of the system attempt to configure it in ways that you didn't intend. We need a straightforward list of setups someone can pick from and deploy in one central place.
