Dale hits it right on the head here...  The sheer number of DNS requests is 
part of the problem.  We also need to get so much better at managing the DNS 
configuration at least for the servers...   This is where so many people have 
trouble so if we can avoid that we'll all have more sanity.

Certainly, if you don't have a caching DNS server on the sipX host, and have 
/etc/resolv.conf point to it, Bad Things will happen.  That needs to be a fixed 
point in the configuration.
