Thanks!  I just got this tip from someone else too.  I was hunting around 
"System Tab/Servers" for DNS - wrong place.  I am just going to set it in there 
and let it set it up.

No, it looks like you have DNS role enabled on that machine and
sipxecs managed. What you could do here is to go to System > DNS >
Unmanaged Service and enable Unmanaged DNS service option. This way
config files will not be overwritten by sipxecs
