You can login but not search newer captures because it is not performing
any captures since the last few updates.

This had been fixed (i386 rpm) but somehow snuck back in and maybe thats
why I see homer dead but pid file exists still?

I also see a lot of these in the apache error log:

[client 127.0.0.1] Client sent malformed Host header

methinks the
GET / HTTP/1.0
Host: http://127.0.0.1

Would more likely need to be
GET / HTTP/1.0
Host: localhost

But I am not sure what internal process is doing the get. It's just a guess
though and not related to the homer thing.
