Which version CD are you using? 3.10 CD should work fine, while the 3.11 CD
has some issues currently.

If your VM is on a bridged network with the host, you most likely will not want
a DHCP server running in the VM as it might conflict with the one running on
your network. Select DNS and NTP but deselect DHCP. The installation wizard
should not fall out into a command prompt - that would be a bug.

Subject: [sipx-users] how to configure ethernet on sipX

Hi,

I mounted the sipX installation CD on the virtual cd drive of my virtual
machine. The setup started. But then I ran into problems while doing network
settings. I am on a private university network and hence I figured that
choosing DHCP will configure the network by itself. But then setup stopped
and i got a command prompt.

Can anybody guide me on how i should configure the ethernet?

Thanks,
Nakul
