I'm not sure I understand. When you installed sipx what domain did you use? If you used "mydomain.com" then your realm for authentication would be "mydomain.com" and that's what your DNS tests should be against. Did you run your DNS tests, specifically querying DNS SRV records against whichever DNS server is authroitave for that domain? If so, is your computer running the softphone ALSO using that same DNS server? When you created user "202" did you set both PIN and SIP PASSWORD and make sure you reflected that in your softphone setup? Realize there is no wiki "how-to' for Ekiga phone. It might be a better idea to try one of the softphones with a detailed "how-to" in the wiki to ensure the sipx system you have installed is responding properly before troubleshooting Ekiga. I think if you were to setup a new account in Ekiga it should look like this: account name "mydomain.com" Protocol SIP registrar "mydomain.com" user 203 password 203 This assumes the first part of this message is done, and that your PC and the sipx installation are on the same network with no NAT involved. http://wiki.ekiga.org/index.php/Managing_VOIP_Accounts Just my 2 cents.

I also set domain name to be like: mydomain.com wihtout any aliases. I'm trying to register with Ekiga softphone. I use this on my fedora 9. This is the log part for register trying in sipregistrar for this user: On Wed, 2008-10-08 at 07:12 -0300, Tony Graziano wrote: > What softphone are you using? > > "Unable to get credentials for '[EMAIL PROTECTED]', realm='iguanait..com', > user='anebi'" > > Why are the credentials listed as "[EMAIL PROTECTED]" when the authentication > realm is iguanait.com. > > Make sure the user pin/password fields (all 3) in sipxconfig are identical > for the purpose of testing.
