I left the group off on this reply. The packages still win not install.
I installed the replacement package: sipx-freeswitch.i386 manually and
then tried yum install sipxecs and this package is still looking for
sipxconfig-conference.
I tried installing yum-skip-broken to see if I could install as Damian
recommended, however, it still stops with:
--> Finished Dependency Resolution
**** Failed
**** Missing Dependency: sipxconfig-conference is needed by package
sipxecs
**** Packages with dependency resolving errors
**** sipxecs - 3.11.9-014514.i386

Damian,
I install the yum-skip-broken package (yum install
yum-skip-broken) and then tried yum --skip-broken install sipxecs and it
still will not continue.

Any further advise?

It's not a new RPM. It's an old/removed one.

mranga removed this RPM and replaced it with sipxfreeswitch.rpm.
see: http://track.sipfoundry.org/browse/XCF-3197

Apparently sipxconfig-conference is still referenced by some other RPM.
You
can try '--skip-broken' option for yum or use 'rpm --nodeps' to install
the
packages that you need. I am pretty sure it's fixed now: I cannot find
any
references to sipxconfig-conference in the source any more.

By the way:

sipxfreeswitch is built by sipXfreeSwitch project and contains sipx
project
descriptor and launch script for freeswitch.

sipx-freeswitch is a 3rd party dependency built lib/freeswitch and
actually
is freeswitch (or strictly speaking a version used by sipx)

And sipxfreeswitch requires sipx-freeswitch.

I am a bit worried we are up for some sipx-freeswitch vs. sipxfreeswitch
confusion. Any ideas for better names?

Is the version that we build really different from original. Maybe
sipx-freeswitch should be just called freeswitch?
D.
