Hello list. Downloaded the centos sipxecs 3.11.11 ISO and installing on a test box here. My test box is on a LAN that gets class C IP addresses assigned through the ISP DHCP server.
So when I unmark the DHCP server during the installation it keeps on asking for an IP address in the next screen. This is confusing for me and need to know what to put here since I do not have a valid IP address yet. The Server has a self assigned IP address of 192.168.5.176 what is wrong in my particular environment. Normally my servers get there Class C IP addresses directly from ISP and I work with a 16 channel ethernet switch that is in DHCP mode. I do have an old dlink router here that I can connect and create a subnet. But I like to avoid that amount of extra work. Server is now in testing and when operational I do not have this issue with my colocator because then I have assigned IP addresses.
