:) Absolutely, I send profile after every little tweak. I can see in the phone log and Wireshark trace that the phone accepts and downloads the config but it still ends up in "unprovisioned". I see only only TFTP traffic, no SIP traffic at all, it doesn't even try to register.
The switch I use today is a Netgear and my older Cisco 7960 phones work. I will try using a Cisco switch instead. This sounds weird to me! :) Thanks guys.. / Rick -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of milosz Sent: den 26 mars 2009 16:15 To: [email protected] Cc: [email protected] Subject: Re: [sipx-users] Problem with Ciscoplus 7970 in sipX 3.11.12 really? that is news to me, as i have 7960's working just fine on netgear, dell, and adtran switches. i'm guessing you are referring to cdp, which is a protocol often supported by third-party vendors (netgear, for one) (a colleague once characterized it as "cisco destroy phone"), or pre-standard poe, which is more expensive to pull off but also supported by other vendors (netgear has made a few switches that support it and adtran makes one). but neither is critical to the functioning of a cisco ip phone. rikard: my only contribution to your topic is... did you remember to send profile? that happens to me all the time when i'm provisioning phones =) 2009/3/26 Sen Heng <[email protected]>: > Did you use Cisco switch ?
