Hello, I apologize if this message comes through twice; I lost my wifi connection while the first was sending, and I don't think it made it through.
I am planning on replacing our aging Avaya Partner system with one based on sipXecs and the Polycom 550 phones. I have read the sipXecs wiki, the Polycom manuals, and some google searches, but I still have some questions regarding BLF. I understand that I can assign extensions to speed-dial, and that they will appear on available line keys. Is it possible to have more speed-dials with BLF than line-keys (without purchasing the attendant console)? This is for a small office with 10 extensions. No one has a direct line, and everyone participates in answering phone calls, so it needs to be easy to determine if another employee is currently on the phone or has DND set. With our current system, every phone has about 20 or so programmable keys which are used to show the status of every extension. Does the LCD have an interface to view more speed-dials with BLF? Or can BLF be shown in a corporate directory or buddy list? Or is my only option to buy an attendant console for every phone? Thank you for all help in clearing this up for me. -- Christopher Wagner _______________________________________________ sipx-users mailing list [email protected] List Archive: http://list.sipfoundry.org/archive/sipx-users Unsubscribe: http://list.sipfoundry.org/mailman/listinfo/sipx-users
