The simplest way to set up sipX and DNS is to have the "SIP domain" of
sipX be the same as the DNS name of the sipX host.  This is not a
particularly good setup for a real production PBX, but it is the
simplest setup for learning.  You can use whatever DNS servers you now
use for this.

I'm not so familiar with the configuration set up by the ISO, but the
usual sipX configuration is for sipX to have a TFTP server, so I expect
that the ISO does that.  If you configure your phones to try to get
their configuration via TFTP from the sipX host, it should work.
